MacBar is designed as a local-first clipboard manager for macOS. The app stores clipboard history on your device and performs OCR on-device using Apple Vision.

What MacBar stores

MacBar stores clipboard history locally on your Mac, including text, screenshots, copied image files, Finder file references, and locally generated OCR results needed for search and reuse.

What MacBar does not do

MacBar does not upload clipboard contents to a MacBar server.
MacBar does not sync clipboard history to the cloud.
MacBar does not include analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs.
MacBar does not sell personal data.

Network access

MacBar is designed to run locally on your Mac. Clipboard history, OCR, previews, and normal day-to-day use do not require a network connection.
